How do I read a coin price chart?

A price chart shows how a coin's price moved over a period. Reading it well comes down to a few simple points.

The time range

The same coin looks different over a day, a month and a year. A steep move over a day can be a small blip on a yearly chart.

High, low and now

Look at the highest and lowest points in the range and where the price sits now. That puts today's price in context.

The scale

A chart shows the change relative to the range it covers. A tiny coin with a thin pool can jump around more than the line suggests.

What it cannot tell you

A chart shows the past. It does not say what comes next, and a smooth line does not mean the coin can be sold at that price.

Pulse Totals shows a chart for each coin, next to its pool, so you can see price and market together. Open Pulse Totals
