Tips › Pulse Totals

How accurate is a wallet total?

A wallet total is an estimate of what your coins are worth at current prices. It is useful, and it has limits you should know.

Prices move

The total changes whenever a price changes. A figure that was right a minute ago may not be now.

Prices are not sale proceeds

The price of a coin is the pool's current price. Selling a large amount moves the price against you, so a sale would bring less than the total suggests.

Some coins cannot be sold

Coins without a real trading pool have no sale price at all. A good total leaves them out.

A guide, not a promise

Read the total as a guide to where you stand. The numbers come from public data and can be late or wrong, and the app is for entertainment and general information only.

Pulse Totals shows how each value is made up, so you can see which coins and pools the total rests on. Open Pulse Totals
