Why trading pools decide what your total is worth

A wallet total adds up every coin you hold, but a number next to a coin is not the same as money you could actually get. The difference is whether the coin can be traded.

A price needs a market

A coin's price comes from trades. On PulseChain, coins are traded in pools on PulseX. If a coin has no pool, nobody can buy or sell it, so any price shown for it is not real.

What a pool tells you

A pool holds the coins that traders swap against each other. A pool with plenty in it can absorb a sale. A tiny pool cannot, because even a small sale moves the price a lot.

How Pulse Totals handles it

Pulse Totals values your coins by their PulseX pools. Coins without a real trading pool are left out of the total, so a coin nobody can sell does not make your number look bigger. Tap any coin to see its pool and chart.
