What is a PulseX pool, and why does it matter?

A PulseX pool is where a coin can actually be traded on PulseChain. To find out whether a coin has a real price, the pool is the first place to look.

How a pool works

A pool holds two coins, and traders swap one for the other. The price comes from the balance between the two. Every swap shifts that balance a little.

No pool, no real price

A coin without a pool cannot be traded, so any price attached to it is a guess. This is common with new or abandoned coins that still show up in a wallet.

Size matters too

A large pool takes a big trade without moving much. A small pool moves a lot, so the price you see may not be the price you could get.

How Pulse Totals uses pools

Pulse Totals checks for a pool before it counts a coin. Coins without a real trading pool stay out of your total.
