What is a HEX stake?

A HEX stake locks an amount of HEX for a number of days that you choose. At the end, you can collect your HEX plus a reward.

How it works

You pick the amount and the length. While the stake runs, the HEX is locked. Rewards are paid in newly created HEX when the stake ends.

Ending early

If you end a stake before its end date, penalties apply. Part of what you would have received is lost.

Ending late

After the end date there is a window to end the stake without penalty. If you wait past it, penalties grow the longer you wait.

Why the date matters

The days around the end date are the ones that count. Knowing the date is the difference between a clean end and an avoidable penalty. A reminder a few days ahead is usually enough.
