A small business website has a few basics that can be checked from the outside. Four of them are quick to look at: imprint and privacy links, email authentication, and a valid certificate.
Visitors should be able to find both links easily. Check that they are there and that each one opens the right page. This confirms the links exist; it does not judge what the texts say.
SPF, DKIM and DMARC help receiving servers trust your email. Without them, your messages are more likely to land in spam. All three are DNS records.
The certificate makes the connection to your site secure. Check that it is valid and not about to expire.
Our free Website check looks at your start page and public DNS records, in plain English or German. It is a technical check, not legal advice, and a good result does not mean your website complies with the law.
Enter your address in the free Website check and see the result in plain words. Open Website check
