A warning is only useful if it arrives in time. Several parts must work together for that, and any of them can slow it down.
The app's server checks your loans, sends the warning to the phone maker's push service, and the push service delivers it to your phone. Each step normally takes seconds. If one fails, the warning comes later.
Focus modes, Low Power Mode and limits on background activity can hold a notification back or hide it for a while. Check that the app is allowed in the Focus you use.
A poor connection, or a short problem at the push service, can delay delivery. No app controls these parts. These usually pass by themselves.
Warnings help, but they are not a guarantee of timing. With a loan close to the minimum, look at it yourself as well. A late warning is still better than none.
Pulse Lifeline says so in its own notes: warnings can be late, so check your loan yourself. Open Pulse Lifeline
