An AI can translate well, but it translates better when it knows what the text is for. A few details in the prompt make the difference.
State the source and target language, and the variety if it matters, such as British or American English. This avoids a translation into the wrong variety.
A text for students, a notice for staff and a letter to an authority call for different wording and levels of formality. Mention the occasion too.
List the terms that must be translated in one particular way, with the preferred word for each. Without them, the same term may appear in several versions.
Say whether to keep headings, lists or links. Have a person who knows both languages read anything that matters.
