A loan's collateral ratio is collateral divided by debt. You can raise it in two ways: by adding collateral, or by repaying part of the debt.
More collateral raises the top of the fraction. The debt stays the same, and the ratio goes up. It needs you to hold more of the collateral coin.
Less debt lowers the bottom of the fraction. The collateral stays the same, and the ratio goes up too. It needs you to hold the coin the debt is in.
Both are done on the loan system's own website, with your own wallet. A tracker can show the numbers, but it cannot do either for you.
It depends on what you hold and what you want to keep. The result is the same: a higher ratio and more room. Some people mix the two in small steps.
Pulse Lifeline's detail sheet shows both: how much collateral to add or how much debt to repay to reach a safer level. Open Pulse Lifeline
